Will Smith has sought help in the wake of his infamous slap of at the Academy Awards.
Smith, 53, 'has been going to therapy after the Oscars incident,' a source told Thursday of the actor, who made international headlines for his outburst toward the 57-year-old comedian at the March 27 event at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.
The Oscars exchange between Smith and Rock took place after Rock made a joke about Smith's shaved head, saying, 'Jada, I love you, G.I. Jane 2, can't wait to see it,' in reference to the 1997 movie which featured with a shaved head. (Pinkett Smith, 50, has diagnosed with alopecia, which causes hair loss.)

The Philadelphia-born actor then walked onstage and smacked Rock, then returned to his seat and shouted at him twice, 'Keep my wife's name out of your f***ing mouth!' to a stunned audience.
Later in the evening - in his acceptance speech after winning the Best Actor Oscar for his role as tennis patriarch Richard Williams in King Richard - Smith apologized to the Academy and other nominees, but made no reference to Rock.

The Ali star subsequently took to Instagram on March 28 and called himself 'a work in progress' after saying his behavior at the Oscars was 'unacceptable and inexcusable.'

The Men in Black actor alluded to Rock in a statement he issued April 1 as he resigned from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (which later banned him from the Oscars for 10 years).
'The list of those I have hurt is long,' Smith said, 'and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home.'
Smith has k last month, casting skepticism over the reasons behind Smith's trip to India.
'Will's "spiritual journey" to India for yoga and meditation seems cynical and ridiculous, given that he hasn't apologized personally to the one person he assaulted in front of millions,' the source said. 'No amount of Namastes will make up for that.'
Rock has stayed relatively mum about the incident involving Smith at the Oscars, briefly addressing it at a few comedy shows on his stand-up tour

The Emmy-winning comedian was in attendance Tuesday at the Hollywood Bowl for the Netflix Is a Joke festival, where comic Dave Chappelle was attacked onstage by a 23-year-old man named Isaiah Lee, who carried a replica handgun with a large fold-out blade. (Lee was arrested in connection with assault with a deadly weapon in the attack.)
