Researchers surveyed 2,000 people who had been trying to shed pounds for reduslim cena at least a month. They found that people who exercised for less than half an hour — at least five days a week — were more successful at the weight loss game than those who were more active. When people reported exercising more than that threshold, however, they were still more likely to have maintained their weight loss.

The researchers point out that these findings could be because of biological factors, like your body building up an adaptation to exercising at a certain time every day, and because those who exercise less may be less motivated, making it harder to stick to any particular habit. But it’s still an interesting piece of information that could help you make exercise more central to your weight loss efforts.

"Exercising at a specific time on a consistent basis may be an important aspect for successful weight loss maintenance," the study’s lead author, Zhaowen Wang, told Health.

The key to sticking with your exercise plan, she says, is to make it part of your everyday routine — and then eventually, to make your exercise routine part of your everyday routine. That can happen over time as you find ways to add it into your day-to-day activities, like catching your kids up on homework instead of having them late for practice, scheduling your exercise ahead of time instead of scrambling for a workout.
